We Need Your Help!
Every day we are getting emails asking, "What can we do to help the Mercy House?"
The answer in short: A LOT!
While we are in full fundraising mode, there are some things you can do with your children, churches, Bible Study groups, etc. Beginning in January thru May, we will have collection drives for items needed at the Mercy House.
Tentative Schedule (This list will be finalized with more details on the We are THAT family blog, as a part of the Do -It-For-Others-Projects).
January-pregnancy tests from dollar stores, large Kotex pads
February-medical supplies: bandages, gauze, latex gloves, clamps for umbilical cords, drapers or large clean pads for delivery, vitamins, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, etc.
March-baby items: clothes (like onesies, sleepers), knitted newborn hats, blankets, cloth diapers (don't have to be new), bottles, baby formula (HIV is transmitted thru breast milk. If moms are positive, we will use baby formula).
April-sewing and craft items: thread, scissors, needles, etc; plastic bags of all kinds from stores you shop at, white glue, lye, soap molds, felt, snaps
May-travel-sized soap, shampoo, lotion, etc; razor blades, kite string (for birthing kits)
Please feel free to print Mercy House flyers to share!
You can begin collecting these items, hold your own collection drives! At the appropriate time, the shipping address will be made known. Thank you so much!
