Thanks so much to everyone who has participated so far! The results have been staggering. We will be sorting and storing these items until they are taken over to Kenya. Once we have the maternity home established, we will be purchasing or paying to have locals make the items we need. This stimulates the local economy. I will keep an updated list on the Mercy House site of ongoing collections of items that we cannot purchase in Africa.

We will be collecting baby items for the month of March-items do not need to be new, but good condition:

• clothes-newborn thru 1 year (sleepers, shirts, onesies-BASICS),
• accessories- like hats, booties blankets,
• baby formula-all kinds
• large duffle bags (can be used); large plastic storage totes
• cloth diapers (the old fashioned kind)-these do not have to be new, but in good condition, diaper pins. 
• soft toys
