Babies, babies, everywhere!

Babies! That's the word du jour at The Mercy House, and we are thrilled to introduce you to the two newest members of The Mercy House family.

Please meet the new babies, Rehema and Maureen:

Last Thursday, Violet and Elizabeth, both nearly two weeks overdue, were admitted to the hospital for c-sections. Maureen was with them, and the girls prepared for surgery with these prayer cards, donated by Worthy of the Prize.

Before long, it was time for the girls to head into surgery, and they were escorted back by the amazing medical team:

Violet was first up, and she was wonderful. She delivered a beautiful and healthy 5.2 pound baby girl.

Bringing the tally up to three girls and four boys, Violet named her precious daughter Maureen, after our incredible director.

Not long after Violet and Maureen came out of surgery, Elizabeth headed into the operating room for her c-section. She was nearly two weeks overdue, and the doctor's were concerned about her baby's size. Elizabeth proved the doctors right when she delivered a beautiful 9.5 pound baby girl.

Elizabeth named her daughter Rehema, which is Swahili for mercy, and evened up the tally of boys and girls. :) We are absolutely thrilled to have the babies home and healthy, and we are so thankful for the hospital and medical teams who provide such amazing care for our mothers and babies.

Today, we would love for you to join us as we thank God for these precious new lives and ask him to continue to bless The Mercy House and these medical professionals who support our work. Thank you again for all of your support!
